CARE Program Fees & Procedures

*THE CARE PROGRAM IS ANTICIPATING A MODEST FEE INCREASE FOR THE 2024.25 SCHOOL YEAR

• School Year Annual Registration Fee (Sept. - June) non-refundable - $70 per family
• After School ONLY Monthly Fee - $330 per child
• Before School ONLY Monthly Fee - $235 per child
• Before & After School Monthly Fee - $470 per child
• Non-school Day Daily Fee (8:30-4:30) - $45 per child

*Multi-child discount - 10% off all tuition

Annual Program Costs:  The CARE Program costs $3,300 annual for after-school care, ($2,350 for before-school only and $4,700 for before and after-school care).  The annual fee is divided into 10 equal monthly payments.  For this reason, December and June are the same cost as months that have more service days.

• Summer Weekly Deposit - due at the time of registration & non-refundable - $40 per week, per child
• Summer Weekly Fee (M-F 9:00am - 5:00pm) - $160 per child

CARE Summer Fee Schedule

The School Year CARE program is open to all North Clackamas School District students in grades K-5.  The Summer CARE program is open to all current North Clackamas School District students that are registered to attend grades 1-6 in the fall of the following school year.  Incoming kindergarten youth are not eligible to attend summer programs.  

*For families who are moving into the district, you do not have to be fully registered for school at the time of registration for the CARE Program, but you will need to provide paperwork once you are enrolled in an NCSD elementary school.

All CARE programs offer monthly after school activities (2:00 pm-6:00 pm) during the school year. By enrolling you are indicating you will be attending the CARE program every day after school Sept 3rd - June 11th.  Before school programs are offered at three CARE sites starting at 6 AM. Transportation is provided from Scouter’s Mt, Oak Grove, and Oregon Trail CARE to your child’s school. All-day programs are available at three locations only (Happy Valley, Sunnyside & Oak Grove) on non-school days (8:30 am-4:30 pm).  Non-school days will be available to select in EZChildTrack. *Flex schedules are available to families who need less than full-time CARE and have a consistent schedule (i.e. Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays only).  The monthly fee is the same, but families would not have to report absences on the non-scheduled days.

The CARE Program will offer 8 weeks of summer camps. Families will register for full weeks. Youth will be placed into stable cohorts.

Families will be able to register and select weeks they will attend CARE in EZChildTrack on Tuesday, April 23rd. Each week has limited availability. Weeks will remain open for registration until full. Each week will have a waiting list. Families will be contacted by email if space becomes available.

Hours: Monday - Friday 9am-5pm

*The CARE Program is closed Thursday, July 4th & Friday, July 5th

*For families who have to be at work prior to 9 am and are unable to arrange morning transportation to CARE, we will offer a limited morning program. Families must be enrolled in the CARE weekly program in order to attend the morning portion of the day. Registration for the morning program will open at a later date.  The fee for the morning program is $40 per week per child.

All fees are due on the 1st of the month. Failure to pay by the 10th of the month will result in a past due fee and your CARE services will be suspended on the 15th.  We accept Checks and Money Orders at all sites. Visa and MasterCard payments can be made online in your EZChildTrack account. Cash payments are only accepted at the Community Services Office which is located at the Wichita Center for Family & Community.

**The CARE Program works with families who are ERDC eligible or are active members of the military and qualify for assistance from Child Care Aware of America.  Please send your eligibility paperwork to care@nclack.k12.or.us to set up payments.

Families can cancel months and non-school days by giving an official cancellation notice via EZChildTrack by 8:00 am on the 19th prior to the first day of services. Example: For October services, after-school Oct 1- 31 and non-school days (8 & 13) families must go into EZChildTrack and use the email function to submit their cancellation request by 8:00 am, Wednesday, September 19th. If the request is not received by 8:00 am on the 19th prior to services, families will be billed on the following day and must pay all fees associated regardless of whether or not your child attends.

Each week of the Summer Camp is $200 per child, a $40 nonrefundable deposit per child per week is required at the time of registration.  The remaining balance is billed and due as follows.

CARE Summer Program Payment Plans

The summer billing fee schedule allows for families to pay fees weekly and also offers flexibility in the event a family needs to cancel prior to billing.  If you would like to pay your fees in advance please see the monthly cost (if enrolled in all weeks available).  A credit will sit on your account and will be applied towards weekly billing.  In the event of an overpayment, we will happily refund your credit card. If you have questions about billing please contact adamsam@nclack.k12.or.us in advance of your billing due date. 

Families can cancel weeks selected by giving an official cancellation notice via EZChildTrack by 8:00 am at least 10 days prior to the first day of services. Example: For week 1, June 24- 28, families must go into EZChildTrack and use the email function to submit their cancellation request by 8:00 am, Friday June 14th. The cancellation policy allows us to move families from the waitlist into program spots.  Please review the CARE Summer Fee Schedule for specific cancelation notice deadlines.

Return Check Fee: A $25.00 fee for any returned checks.

Past Due Fee: A $15 fee will be added to accounts past due on the 10th.  

Late Fee: After school programs close at 6:00 pm, NSD programs close at 4:30 pm. A late fee of $1.00 per minute will be charged to each child left after closing. 

No Show Fee (school year only): For your child’s safety, you must contact your CARE site before 2 PM if your child will not be attending as scheduled.  A $5 fee will be charged to your account if your child does not show up to the CARE site as scheduled.

All CARE fees are non-refundable.  The CARE Program will not be refunding families for inclement weather or school closures.  Families must pay for months and days registered regardless of attendance.

All children must be signed in and out electronically.  Signing your child in and out is an important safety issue.  Each contact is given their own personal QRCode to use in the EZChildTrack lobby.

The CARE program expects all participants to follow the North Clackamas School District code of conduct while participating in any CARE program activities or while on school grounds. The CARE staff will provide daily guidance, clear expectations for children, and preventative measures intended to build a positive community within the CARE program. When children in the CARE program do not follow these guidelines there will be disciplinary processes and responses to these actions that are age and developmentally appropriate. Disciplinary practice at CARE should be logical, fair, consistent, and considerate of circumstances. Disciplinary interventions may include CARE staff-led interventions such as; reminders/redirection,  written/verbal reflection or apologies, conflict resolution,  parent contact, or loss of a privilege, For more serious behavior concerns that impact the safety of the CARE community, the CARE administrator may consider short-term or extended suspension of CARE services.
